In the village of Long Crendon there are reports of a ghostly horse rider who can still be heard galloping through the village.
In 1974 a Mr Geoffrey Simons from Wendover saw a woman dressed in red in a field along the Thame to Princes Risborough road.
Frank Mitchell (1974) repeated tales of the supernatural concerning St Mary’s Church in his series of articles for the Thame Gazette.
The less well known is Bledlow Cross which can only be dated to early 19th century. It is smaller than Whiteleaf and was last scoured in 1991.
